Ready to rock out? Sign up for our winter session of our girls rock camp!

Ever wanted to learn an instrument, form a band and write a song? At our girls rock camp you'll form a band, learn an instrument (bass, guitar, vocals, drums or electronic music), watch live music performances, participate in creative workshops- like making zines and screen printing band t-shirts- and write an original song to be performed at the end of the week. GR!C aims to empower girls aged 10-17 years old through a week-long mentorship program that encourages creativity, self-expression and teamwork through music.

Girls Rock! Canberra's program is open to girls, trans and non-binary youth ages 10-17. No music experience necessary!

Location: Ainslie Arts Centre, 30 Elouera St, Braddon ACT
Time: Monday 10th – Friday 14th July,  9am-5pm
Showcase: Saturday 15th 1-3pm at Ainslie Arts Centre
NOTE: Camper participation in the Saturday showcase is a mandatory part of attendance. As campers will depend on their bandmates to be there at rehearsals, please make sure the camper will be able to attend the whole week of camp.
Cost: $450 for the week, including morning and afternoon tea. Financial aid (both full and partial scholarships) is available on a needs basis.
What to bring: GR!C will provide all musical instruments and workshop materials, as well as daily morning and afternoon tea. Campers will need to bring a packed lunch and water bottle.

|| Express yourself piece ||
To help us get to know you, please submit a creative piece with your application. The purpose of the piece is for us to get to know our prospective campers and find out why you're excited to come to camp. You could draw something, compose a song, design a poster, write us a story or poem, or record a video! Have another idea or just want to tell us a little more about yourself? That's cool too! Please e-mail us this piece to us with '[Your Name] - Express Yourself' as the subject heading.
